DU EMBA Question Pattern
Everyone wishes to get admitted into Dhaka University and wants to have Dhaka University's flavor  to his/her academic life. DU EMBA is one the best opportunities for a student to have chance of becoming a student of the university. Faculty of business studies runs EMBA program. The authority of business faculty conducts 3 admission intakes every year namely Summer, Spring, and Autumn. Each intake has 4 months time gap.

As a matter of concern, many students are uninformed about question pattern of EMBA admission test. We have listed question pattern of Dhaka University's evening MBA program. The question pattern is as follows:-

There are TWO parts in the DU EMBA admission test. The first one is Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) and the second one is Written Ability Test. Total 80 marks exam is conducted in two different sections namely multiple choice question which carries 55 marks and written ability test which carries 25 marks. Total duration of the admission test is 90 minutes where 55 minutes are reserved for MCQ section and next 35 minutes are reserved for the writing ability test.


1  MULTIPLE CHOICE QUESTION: In the Multiple Choice Question section, there will have 55 questions. For the MCQ section, 55 minutes are allowed to finish the exam. These 55 questions can also be subdivided into following pattern:-

English Language: In the English language section there will have 20 MCQ based questions. An English passage is given typically related to business and economics which carries 5 questions out of 20 questions.

Current Affairs: In the current affairs section there will have 10 MCQ based questions. Current affairs which is also referred to as general knowledge. It covers both Bangladesh and International issues of different topics and segments such as world politics, world economy, sports, famous personality, economics and business related current issues.

Logical reasoning/Critical analysis: In the critical analysis section there will have 5 questions. However, it may vary on the basis of question moderation committee of the admission authority. It covers different types of analytical situation and problem faced in business and students are asked to solved the given problem making situation very difficult.  

Mathematics: In the mathematics section thcentage, fraction, ratio and proportion, profit and loss, average, partnership, function,ere will have 20 questions ranging from basic concept to higher concept in mathematics for example number systems, per permutation and combination, geometry and so on.  

2 WRITTEN SECTION: In the written section, students are asked to test his/her writing ability. For written section, 35 minutes are allowed to finish the written ability test. The writing ability test includes 5 different questions each carrying 5 marks.

There are five (5) items usually given in writing ability section of the prospective students in DU EMBA admission test. Each item carries 5 marks and total of 25 marks of written ability is tested. The items are as follows:-

Bengali to English translation [5*1=5]
English to Bangla translation [5*1=5]
Precise writing [1*5=5]
Short note [1*5=5]
Short essay [1*5=5]

However, written question may vary examination to examination that is totally depend on the authority of DU EMBA. Students should prepare themselves accordingly so that they can crack the admission test and finally get into one of the best business schools in Bangladesh.
